Nia knew the crutches made her slower than usual. That was to be expected, and most people seemed to understand that. Emphasis on most. She heard the comment behind her and had to hold back a sigh of annoyance or a remark that could be made. Instead, she slowed down further, making a point of picking up her things slowly, hefting her bag onto her shoulder and shuffling along with the crutches. Petty, perhaps, but with a point. Nia could take the comment, but this guy deserved to have his time wasted if he was going to be rude.
