He didn’t even bother to knock as he moved inside. “Audrey?” He called out, wanting to make sure she was actually there. If not he would text her new number and get her ass back here. He wanted to know what the hell happened.

↳ day 21: favourite quote ("the freeze taught us all we have the capacity to kill" & "the two most cunning minds left on earth and you both live in my car")

i couldn't pick between these two quotes, and who's surprised they're both lilah related? i love the first one because deep down it's true and also adds question to whether lilah does actually believe lj was capable of murder (i think she does believe it, but loves her daughter and her family too much to do anything about it). the second one is a clear example of how the folger's love is toxic, not within itself, they clearly love and care for each other, but for everyone else around them (i remember seeing someone say their love is an example of how love can aggravate evil instead of allieviating evil and it's so true and i love it). the fact that lilah loves being called cunning and it's the only time we ever see her truly smile shows so much about her character too.
