The alien triplets from my OG attempt at a legacy have been remade \o/ They're the kids of my astronaut guy - it was fully my intention for him to get abducted and impregnated by aliens, but I was not ready for goddamned triplets when it happened.
The dude didn't even have any fertility traits - Xavier, how?! Luckily it fit the thematic shit I was going for for his storyline anyway.

The consequences of his baseball accident left him with an irregular heartbeat, but he had been cleared for a reason, and that was because he took medicine to help keep it controlled and stable. Which worked for the most part which was why he had been cleared to play baseball again (albeit telling people he could no longer). That didn't mean he didn't have episodes from time to time, and sometimes it included him fainting, each time landing him in the ER, and every time he was fine. Which was why he didn't want to tell his sister, not wanting to worry her. Every other time it had been with Lucas, and he knew that Liam didn't want to tell Lyla much unless totally necessary, Lyla had spent too much of her life worrying about him. This time though, it happened at work, and his emergency contact at work was unfortunately his older sister. He groaned internally when he saw his sister walking in as they were connecting him to a ECG. "I'm fine," he said before she could say anything.
Sam was looking to get some water for some of the kids they were keeping an eye on while they were locating their parents. Walking down the hall, he found Liam, who could’ve definitely looked better, but Sam didn’t think the other would collapse right then and there or anything. He was instantly concerned though, worried flooding through him, and out of old habit, needed to make sure that Liam was alright. “Liam?” he asked. “Liam, are you hurt? What are you doing here?”
“It’s nothing. Come to expect it as a quidditch player. It’s not like I fell from a hundred feet. It’ll heal over on its own eventually and I’m the keeper. I get hit by things on a regular basis or did you not notice what with you zipping around... actually I can answer that; you don’t or you wouldn’t have clipped me when I was practicing.” Still, there was humour to the words and a smirk on his lips that showed there was no bad feelings and he was just giving the man a hard time for the fun of it.
Walking past the food truck a few times finally caused her to stop and grab some tacos. As soon as she took the basket, a smile came along her features. She turned to move away from the pick up window and almost smacked right into the man standing behind her. “Oof,” she breathed as her eyes lifted up towards his face. “Hey, I know you.” She laughed, pointing her index finger at him. “I ran into you at the Gala, literally. There has to be something about you that makes my body want to smash into it all the time.” She paused, realizing the words that came out of her mouth. “Oh my God, that... I don’t think I can come back from that.”

Ali had been anxious all day, now to delay anymore growth of it, she was looking for a distraction. Alison opened the door to Liam’s room while knocking after it had been cracked a little. She hoped that he had time. “Hey, uh, do you have any time. I kind of need a distraction, and Nate isn’t around.” Alison then felt guilty a little, knowing maybe she shouldn’t have bothered him. “Sorry, I uh, don’t mean to be a bother, it’s okay if you don’t have time. I’m sure you have something with Rory or something.”

“Here you go. Since you two were looking at the cupcakes, it’s on the house,” he said with a small smile on his face as he bent down and gave the other’s kids each a cupcake in a small paper plate before getting up and looking at the male. “I hope they like it and it’s really on the house so don’t worry about paying for those,” he added smiling brightly. Evan always liked to give the kids that come into the bakery cupcakes and goods, his mother had been doing it for years and so it had become one of their bakery tradition especially during the holidays. “I can bring you your order if you. You can have a seat and wait.”Â
Liam was nervous. He didn't know how was going to tell him. He wasn't sure what was going to happen when he did. But he needed to tell him, especially with the party coming up that he was going to. He made his way to Ace's and ordered a drink at the bar, a scotch.
Malcolm
It was a rarity for Malcolm to receive texts from his friends that rang with the serious undertone that Liam's had and it was for that reason that the young man wasted no time in wrapping up his usual hunt for information throughout the city rather early to return to the Ace. Entering the building that was like a second home to him, Malcolm quickly spotted Liam and headed straight for him, clapping his friend on the shoulder as he took a seat on the barstool next to him. "Hey, man. Came here as soon as I could but I was all the way in Manhattan." He explained, thanking Payton when his roomie sat his usual Bud Light down in front of him.
Liam
Liam took a long drink of his glass and nodded to Malcolm as he came in. "Manhattan?  That's  distance. You didn't have to hurry that much." He said chewing the inside of his mouth. He took a deep breath. " I really have to tel you soemthing. I am so sorry." He said. "I did something that I can't take back." He said looking into his glass
Malcolm
"Yeah, but you sounded serious as hell, man." Malcolm reasoned, waving off Liam's concern about him rushing over. When it came to his friends, Malc was a ride or die. They needed him, he was there, and that was that. He had grown up with Liam so that was even more so the case. It was only the apology that followed from his friend that had Malcolm pausing mid-drink, slowly putting the bottle onto the bar top and turning so that he could search the other man's expression. "You're gonna get me thinking the worst, Li. What's going on?" He asked, his mind immediately jumping to the biggest mistake he himself had made that he couldnt take back. Malcolm didn't know if he had it in him to hide another body so soon.
Liam
Liam sighed, finishing his glass of scotch, still not able to look at him. He stared at the glass in front of him. "Do you remember a month a go? When you and the guys jumped that guy that I said was mugging me?" He told him. "I lied to you Malcolm." He sighed. "I'm sorry, I lied to you Malcolm. I am so sorry." He kept saying over and over.
Malcolm
As Liam began to try to explain whatever the hell was going on, Malcolm had to take a moment to try to recall the incident that his friend was referring to, but once he had, he felt confusion and hesitance overtake him. What could be lied about that had to do with that? Malc had left the young guy out cold, which was more than what he deserved for going after a Royal, and the VP's son at that. "Stop, Li. Fucking stop- I don't understand what you're getting at, man." Malc told him firmly, trying to break up the babbling. "You lied to me about what?" He asked, already feeling a bit peeved over it. If there was something Malcolm hated, it was being lied to, but with the way Liam was acting, he knew it had to be about something big as well.July 10, 2020
Liam
Liam could feel his emotions building. He knew how bad it was and he knew how much Malcolm hated lying and he had done it to him.  "I lied to you about that night. That wasn't what was going on. I got scared and I made the worst mistake of my life and Malcolm, I am so sorry I involved you. I was  a coward." He said looking at him now, tears in his eyes. "That guy, Owen, he wasn't mugging me." He said swallowing hard. "I'm gay." He told him.
Malcolm
Malcolm stared at his friend, his mind trying to make sense of what he was telling him before the final revelation had him pausing, his brow furrowing before he accepted that admittance with ease. Yeah, Liam being gay definitely checked out. Still, how that played into him lying about... "You were with that guy that night. You said-" Malcolm bit off his words, a sharp wave of guilt and frustration crashing down over him. Fuck, he really was a monster. He needed a fucking muzzle or something. He already had tossed one victim of his rage into the river and now he was finding out that he had beat the living shit out of Liam's significant other. "Fuck, Li- you let me- I thought- fuck, man." He stuttered out, rubbing  a hand roughly down his face, turning away from the other man to quickly down his beer. He needed something to dull that edge.
Liam
Liam saw it cross his mind what had happened. Liam knew Malcolm and he knew he was going to blame himself. "I was....He....I...Malcolm it was my fault. I let you do that. If I had told you the truth, if I had said anything else. If I had just spoken up. Its my fault Malcolm. I did this." He told him. He kept saying it. "I know. I did. Its my fault. I knew....I should have. But I didn't. I was a coward. I am a coward. I ran and I hid. and I am so sorry." He kept repeating.
Malcolm
Liam was talking but Malc was past listening. He felt used, stupid, and absolutely terribly guilty over what he had done. The Royals were his family, and so was anyone any of them cared about by association, and Malc had... He had left that guy. There was no doubt in his mind that he had beat him into needing to go to the hospital, but he had just walked away from him bleeding in that alley. And Liam had told him he was hurting him. Malcolm was trying to protect, but even then he just hurt someone who didn't deserve that shit. "Stop, Liam. Stop fucking apologizing." Malcolm snapped, losing hold of his temper, per usual and pushing away from the bar, needing to stand. "I hospitalized that guy. I left him bleeding. I hit him." He listed off, shaking his head as one of his hands gripped the bar counter, knuckles white. "You were a fucking coward and you lied to me, Liam. Used me and let me... fuck, why are you apologizing to me anyway? Apologize to him. I can't even- I need to apologize to him but I can't do that shit either so you need to."
Liam
Liam watched him. He knew he did this.  As Malcolm  yelled at him, he knew he deserved it. He swallowed hard knowing that he was right. "I know. I regret it more than I could ever explain to you. For what I did to you, for what I did to him." He watched him, tears falling from his eyes.  He knew he had fucked this up beyond repair. He knew what would happen when he had lied to him. He knew how Malcolm would react, but he did it anyway. "I have. I did. I will continue to." He said his voice barely above a whisper.
Malcolm
Malcolm felt guilt heavy in his chest, but that feeling was accompanied clearly by betrayal too. Liam, someone he had known since diapers, had lied to him in such a way. Fear over coming out or not, that wasn't an excuse to manipulate as he had and that shit hurt. Shaking his head, Malcolm fought against the temper that wanted him to break something- maybe the barstool, maybe the beer bottle within reach, maybe Liam. "Good. Keep those apologies for him then. Not me. I don't want them." Malcolm snapped, finally releasing his grip on the bar when he spotted both Payton and Patrick behind it looking their way, Payton even seeming as if he was about to approach. "You tell him I didn't fucking know. You tell him that I wouldn't have if... Just- just fucking make sure he knows." Malcolm said through clenched teeth before taking a step back from the bar and Liam, then another, then another as he tried to make his retreat. "I don't want your sorries." He spat one last time for good measure, then he was trying to leave before he mad shit messier.
Liam
Liam didn't know what to do. He listened to him. When he started to speak again, he did his best to take it and not flinch. He knew what he had done, was worse than anything. He had betrayed him. No matter what else he could have done, Â this was the worst. He shook off Patrick and Payton who were both there, he had to do this and take whatever Malcolm had for him. "He knows. I told him." He said. "He knows this was all me." He nodded. When he got up to start to walk away he grabbed his arm. "Malcolm please...."
Malcolm
When a hand wrapped around his arm, Malcolm's first reaction was to swing. But he didn't. He caught himself and instead turned to shove Liam back from him, knowing that he could only wrestle with the red hot rage that any of his emotions turned in to for so long. "Let go of me." Malcolm all but growled, dark eyes turning to stare down the other Royal with a predator's gaze that was so rarely turned on one of their own. "I don't want to knock you on your ass, Liam. Let. Me. The. Fuck. Go. NOW."
Liam
Liam did not let go.  He held in tighter. He knew what Malcolm would do. He was practically baiting him into it.  But Liam knew he deserved it. He knew that whatever rage Malcolm felt he deserved to be at the other end of it. He had betrayed him and there were consequences. “Malcolm. Don’t walk away. “ he said as he met the others intense gaze. He knew that look and what it meant and he prepared himself to take it.
Malcolm
Malcolm yanked on his arm, the move more desperate than he had ever intended it to be. He needed Liam to let him go. He needed to get out of there. He was mad at the man but he didn't want to hit him. He didn't want to hit him. He didn't want to- Self-control snapping, Malcolm's fist jabbed forward with the intention to make direct contact with Liam's face, a sharp strong hit that would force the other to let go of him and let him make his retreat before anything got any worse. He was desperate to not be any more of a monster that night, to not have to be pulled off of a friend he loved just because he pushed too many of his buttons. Normal people didn't do that shit. Monsters or wild animals were the ones that drew blood when they were hurt. Malcolm feared more and more that that was all he would ever prove to be.
Liam
Did Liam enjoy getting hit? No. Did he enjoy provoking his friend, one of his oldest friends, into hitting him. No. But he felt he deserved it. He knew he deserved it. After all he had done, after the lies and the hiding and what he had put the other two men through, he thought it was the least that he deserved. Owen had been so understanding and kind and not at all angry at him. But hew knew Malcolm would be. He knew that he could push the button that would do it and so he pushed it. He saw the punch coming and while he knew he could probably let go of him and get out of the way, he didn't, he took it on his jaw, his fingers slipping off the other arm while he faltered back. Instincts were to hit back, but he didn't. He could see the anguish in the others face and with the trick of blood from his lip from where the hand connected with his jaw, Liam let him go. He didn't reach out, he didn't call out. He just let him go.
Malcolm
As soon as his fist made contact and Liam let him go, Malcolm took the out. He bit down on his tongue hard enough to draw blood, forcing himself away from the fight that his temper was urging him to finish. One last glance at the other man, enough to see that he was straightening up and was overall fine, Malcolm ducked out of the bar, no one else trying to stop him.
