“Father wishes for me to represent the court at a Seelie party,” sending Oban was an insult of course, after all of all the princes he was the one that no one cared about. He wasn’t important and he wasn’t a threat. “The outfit wasn’t my choice obviously.” It was far too formal for it to be something he would choose, he felt like he was being smothered by it. Hopefully he’d find an excuse to take it off not too long into the party.

“Would you like a drink?” The prince offered, holding out a clear liquid that save for the small effect of trapping them without a monarch’s permission to leave would have no ill effects. Though anything actually of their land had that effect on mortals.

“Is there a reason i’m here or can I go back to my revel and get drunk again,” Oban sighed, entirely unamused he was pulled away long enough to sober up. “because i’m really not the sort of person you want to be around when I sober up.”

“There is very little better in life than good drinks and good sex, so why wouldn’t I indulge in both regularly?”

“Of course I am,” it was quite obvious that Oban was drunk, though if one was to be honest it was very rare to find him in a completely sober. “What else would I do?” Adaon would doubtlessly tell him to get his act together were his brother here but Oban had never been one to care about what was proper for a prince.

Oban was the last person to harp on people for not following proper protocols. He barely followed them himself sometimes. Yet Matthew was entertaining to have around, say what you will about one self-destructive person finding comfort in someone else who was just as self-destructive, so almost without thinking he grabbed the shadowhunter by the arm and physically pulled him away from the drink which would have had very bad effects on him. "Do you just accept any drink that's offered to you?" That was a dangerous thought considering how many of the drinks at his parties had bad effects on mortals. "That'll get you killed shadowhunter, don't they teach you anything?"
