Nezi'a Vasily

Nezi'a was a Kimena in Mundanus clothing. Living two lives, both as tragic as the other. As she’s grown older and seen the worst of the world, she found that the stars are the only constant. They are always there when she needs them, always twinkling and shining. She hates them, and she loves them, but at least they never leave her.

Sadad Hael

Sadad is driven by want. As a prince, his every wish was granted until he met a girl immune to his charm. Driven by hate that he thinks is love, he takes and takes from her until she is a shell of her former self, weak and trembling under his stare. In his mind, she belongs to him, and he will do whatever it takes to keep her trapped in his golden cage.

Nezi'a had always known her destruction would be holy, her mama had told her so before she died, but she didn't know how cruel the gods could be.

Sky Burial in Tibet

I came across this while doing research on funeral/burial traditions to give to one of the groups of people in SWOT. It is also known as celestial burials and is a tradition for Tebtan people. After a person has died, their body is cut into pieces by a Burial Master and taken to an area of high elevation. This is because the course is meant to be eaten by vultures. After the vultures have consumed the body, the belief is that they take the body away to the heavens, where the soul of the deceased person remains until they are ready for their next reincarnation.

Nezi'a - in the fictional language in SWOT (doesn't have a name yet), Nezi'a means "one who causes storms" or "forwarding of storms". She was given this name because she was born during the worst storm of her birth year.

Zyon - the name Zyon has origins in Hebrew and is traditionally spelled, Zion. It means "highest point" and is the Hebrew name for Israel.

Cipher - traditionally spelled Cypher, means "code".

Selah - so the internet says this name has many meanings, but I chose it for its meaning "rock or Bolder".

Amar - means "immortal one" or "eternal". I honestly picked this name because it was the name of a boy I went to high school with that was just a really fake and opportunistic person.

Karro - The name Karro has aboriginal origins and means blood.

Nox - Nox is the Roman goddess of night. I picked this name because Nox is a pirate and is dark and mysterious.

My inspiration for SWOT came from multiple books that I had read during my freshman year of college. My main inspiration was Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi and one of the stories from A Phoenix First Must Burn.

↳ SELAH AJEA . is a beautiful girl with a tar black heart.

I'm definitely going to kill Selah, as she is my least favorite character so far. She starts off super nice to Nezi'a (the mc) but then becomes really mean. She is mean, jealous, and spiteful, and I just can't stand her. She'd really only be missed by one person if she were to die. Since Cipher is her mate he would be devastated by her death, but it would also open him up to getting a second mate. Her death would also change a lot in the plot of the series because she becomes more important in a later book. She is one of two people I was thinking of killing off, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do it yet.

Honestly, my favorite place to write is in my room and in my own space. When I write I like listening to the playlist I made for swot or to r&b music. I also like writing outside on my porch when it is a little chilly or raining. I love that type of atmosphere.
