The past few months had been an emotional rollercoaster for Jeongguk. Though his comeback was a success, the rumors surrounding his past that came along with it were draining him constantly. He was never tired seeing his fans’ faces and cheers; he was tired for trying to figure out the truth for himself. The questioning of the media and a handful of haters rising from the shadows definitely challenged his mental health. He wanted a breather, a break from everything; and a break from Gossip Girl, who sparked this fire. The company had managed to die the issue down to a notch, that he was now given a break this time. Kookie always loved playing around the snow, and seeing that it had finally fallen, he thought that it’s the perfect time to relax and leave the house wearing layers of clothing and a scarf.

And what better way to release all of his frustrations? Sleigh riding. Going towards the small hill of snow with his sleigh, he had seen his best friend’s face trying to sledge down and to his expectations, failed halfway. He crackled and with a smug, went up hastily on the hill, placing the sleigh in position and Kookie slamming himself on it, laying on his stomach, pushing himself with a roar and arms stretched out sideways, mimicking a plane. He did go a bit faster than expected causing for him to crash on a pile of snow. Jeongguk reacted by embracing himself for the impact, and rolled over.

fall starters - accepting! 

The cold air hitting on his face only means one thing - the season of colds and flu has arrived. Adjusting from his thin clothes to warmer warms were a drag, and even though Jeongguk never forgot to dress himself with too many layers of fabric to keep himself warm whenever he steps out, he somehow inhaled the contaminated air of sickness floating around the streets of Seoul. Being sick is one of the worst things he constantly avoids, and having himself to fall victim pained him. While some may find it as a perfect opportunity to rest, it felt like it was a huge waste of time to lay in bed all day, doing nothing.

So it was sort of expected that Jeongguk didn’t want to camp inside his own house; he had  to go to at his own work meetings, apparently. Covering his face with a mask, and his droopy eyes trying to fight off the side effect of the cold medicines he had consumed before stepping out, he never thought that bumping into his best friend will be an inconvenience. Knowing June, he’d certainly flip out and pull him towards back into his own unit and demand to the singer he’d get his damn rest.

Pressure and his insecurities had Jeongguk reached to a certain type of low. He couldn’t even mask his depression anymore, and his constant denying of hanging out with June got him more down than he could ever imagine. He wanted his negative thoughts out of his head, and with them lingering around and hanging with his best friend, he knew they’ll creep out and bum out their time, and that’s something he did not want to happen. So shutting people out for a while was his solution, apparently. 

But Junhoe will always know what to say, and get that Jeongguk’s sudden actions were hints that something’s wrong. Thankfully for his bummed out face, he didn’t completely shut himself out from the world, and actually responds to text messages and calls. It was just... not like Kookie to not send a meme-like response or not try to crack a joke on the phone. June knew him all too well. And he knew a simple phrase yet thoughtful phrase would at least wake the sleeping Jeongguk inside, despite only having it say through the speaker phone. The singer was actually glad that was his best friend’s solution.

I believe in you. The four words had definitely struck a chord in his heart, and while holding his phone on his one hand, he wiped any tears that were on the verge of letting out only because he hasn’t heard in a while that someone believes in him. It gave him the push of not giving up in his self.
