Without fail, every single time he sees Ash in a trial, Gil is compelled to sigh deeply and prepare for a headache. He almost couldn’t believe it when the mist first produced him -- surely it was some mistake. As though there wasn’t a demon in hell who didn’t know who Ashley Williams was.
He isn’t the kind of survivor that Gil doesn’t enjoy dealing with -- competent, dangerous. Always in the way. And, of course, relatively knowledgeable in the occult. When Ash drops a pallet in front of him and effectively stalls the chase for a moment, Gil sighs.
“ I don’t suppose there’s a chance I could convince you to just ... stay out of my way and go work on a generator on the farthest side of the map remotely possible ... hm? “ He already knows the answer is no -- but well, the trial isn’t going so well in his favor at the moment and every moment spent doing this is a moment that would have been spent in a chase going nowhere anyway. “I can’t believe of all the souls the entity gathered across the universe, it ended up with you.”
