Do you prefer to DM or play?

I began as a player but my original group disbanded, so I have now been the DM for my group for about a year now i think? And I absolutely LOVE DMing with all my heart but I would have to say that I do prefer to play and focus on just my character and roleplaying, instead of the constant chaotic thought process that comes with being the DM. There is something freeing about roleplaying a character thats not your self

Least Favourite Class?

I’m going to say Gunslinger because theres just so much technical / mechanics you have to remember and ive got such a bad memory when it comes to stuff like that 😂 

What got you started?

My drama teacher when I was in year 10! We were discussing roleplaying as a technique and she was a dnd player so she showed us the Dnd and Diesel vid which had our whole drama class (there was maybe 6 of us?) hooked, so we began a campaign that we would play during lunches and after school (and sometimes we managed to convince her to play during class instead of actually learning because in our defence it was practicing our acting skills) We made like 3 different campaigns with her and they were all amazing 

Your favourite character you’ve played?

Oh no, you shouldn’t have asked this because GOD I could go on forever about my baby feat. my self indulgent character art 

Let me introduce Fendan Faekalyn, Battle Master of the house Faekalyn, Hero of Blingdenstone, Cyclops Killer, Saviour of Fenwell, Centipede Slayer, Destroyer of Kings and Corpses, and Wielder of Dawnbringer. 

A self proclaimed title I assure you.

Not even just my favourite dnd character but my absolute favourite character I’ve ever created. He is a drow Fighter with an Outlander background, who I decided to create when I read through the offical lore on Drow and read this:

  “Children who resisted and showed kindness or love were brutally punished, so as to beat the instinct for cruelty into them.”

And i was like HA THAT SOUNDS SAD YEA LETS RUN WITH THAT and ta da, Fendan was born 😂

Your favourite character someone else has played?

Hmm in my last group as a PC my mate played a Duergar Barbarian called Willl the Third (yes with 3 L’s) with an intelligence and wisdom of like 4 who was just the funniest mf ever and he had an amazing accent he did as well that he perfectly maintained and like never broke character NEVER (listen when a group of actors gets together to play dnd, shit gets serious 😂) But it got us into so much trouble because he would literally do the craziest dumbest shit, exhibit A being when he saw an orc war party leader wearing golden bracers, thought wow those are pretty and I want them and then proceeded to charge into this war party of 100 orc fighters just because he wanted them. And of course us other two couldn't just stand there and watch the idiot kill himself so we jumped in to and together the 3 of us (one fighter, one barbarian, and one wizard) destroyed an entire war party of 100 orcs and retrieved the pretty bracers from orc chiefs cold dead body. Good times

(that campaign was literally full of so many crazy stories I had began to draw up a comic for it at one point but it kind of fell through and now i dont remember it clearly enough to start it again and complete it but yea good memories)
