Delilah took another sip of her drink as he spoke, taking in his words as she tilted her head. "This city is huge and there are supernatural creatures all across the globe, aren't there? A lot of us didn't even know till recently what we even were. It can't be that rare." She answered, clearly not having much knowledge of the city or supernaturals themselves. She took another swig of her beverage when she thought about what he said, was she trying to forget something? Maybe she was trying to forget how lonely she felt in her apartment that night, or simply forget all the people she left behind when she moved here. "Well, my intentions were to meet some people, till I realized that I don't know how to start a conversation with strangers."

She said simply, looking away for a second to stare at her drink. "But I guess in a way I was just trying to forget how lonely it is when life changes completely. When you have no friends, the change is much harder…"

Delilah had her eyes scanning the room, adding each face permanently to her mind, burned in like a permanent image. She had spent time staring at people around her, so when her eyes landed on someone else's, she thought she looked out of place. Delilah noticed he didn't look away, possibly out of courtesy for her lingering eyes. She was about to look away and spare each of them an awkward stare until she saw him heading her way. Not expecting him to approach her as she quickly finished her drink, waving to the bartender for a new one, Vodka Soda, with a soft smile. She examined her approaching company as he walked, taking notice of the missing part of his arm on the right side.

Delilah examined the stitch work, noting it looked sloppy, meaning it was a heat-of-the-moment job. She couldn't help but notice the scarring on his nub, the doctor in her wondering how painful it must feel. She started to come up with a list of medical procedures in her head to rid of scarring when he reached her, her doe eyes looking into his as he spoke to her. "Not lost, just new to town. But I guess it shows, huh? Most people don't come to a bar to drink by themselves." Her voice was soft as she spoke, almost angelic. Her back leaned against the bar as she waited for her drink, eyes still examining her new company.
