Why couldn’t he have stayed home? The question lingered in his head for a while. Tiresias , took another huff of his cigarette. He wasn’t a festive person but there was a small ache in his heart. He wasn’t just here for apollo but for the one guy whose name refuses to leave his lips.
Tiresias shook his head. Even if the wine god was here, he would be busy. He was a god, he wasn’t obligated to spend time with a seer like him. He stomped on the cigarette. Tiresias was about to light another when he felt a hand aginst his. One that he could recognize as.

❝ I can feel what you’re feeling now — and you are worth it. ❞ + diosias
Tiresias gulped when he heard the other. He couldn’t what Bacchus was saying. All those restless nights as he thought of the wine god. Tiresias was walking slowly towards the other. He laid his head against the wine gods. It felt so good meeting the other. It was good that he didn't feel alone. The tears streamed down his face.
“I care about you,” Tiresias whispered. He gently kissed the other’s lips. “I care about you so much.” Tiresias looked up the tears streamed down on his face.”We will make it.” The seer said. “We will get through these times.” He added.
He walked slowly into the tavern. Everything felt so much noiser. The cane clicked as he tried to walk.It wasn’t Apollo’s temple or his former quarter in Thebes. They were noiser and more cramped. This wasn’t going to do.
He slowly walked to the back of the tavern, navigating.”The area with the least noise, is where the wine deity seeks to sulk.” He commented to himself. The seer, settled in the seat in front of the god. There was a slight sneer before he talked.
“The god who condemned the family of Cadmus is alone in his lovely abode.” He started. “Perhaps that’s the fate deserved for the once might Bacchus.” He took off his cloak, his hair covering one of his vacant eyes.
“You don’t have to piggyback me there.” Tiresias said hiding his face in the god’s shoulder. It was seer’s fault for mentioning that the court was a ling walk. And Bacchus-being himself, opted for the most unpredictable solution.
There was something so cathatric about being carried by the God. How strong and protective he was. Everyone sees Bacchus as a disaster or just a drunk. And the seer admittely had that impression for the longest of times.
But that one moment-Bacchus was someone sweet. Someone who cares about others. Maybe stubborn but determined. There was a heart beneath that repuation. And it moved the seer. Thats what let himself not hide his face.
When they arrived where Sias needed to be, there was a small eye roll roll. “Don’t ever change Bacchus.” He deadpanned trying to sound angry with the wine god. He reached for the other’s face and kissed him. “Please don’t ever change. “
“It’s because you’re acting like a child.” Tiresias snapped. He didn;t want to see the wine god drink. There was something considering recent events that made him paranoid. The words hung in the air as the silence swallowed him. He took a deep breath.
Tiresias gently reach for the wine’s god hands.”I’m sorry.” He whispered. “I don’t want you to get hurt.” He admitted. “And I’m afraid for you, Dio.” He hummed. “But I shouldn’t be condescending to someone I care about.” Bad habits die hard.
“Just for now, maybe drink in the tavern or make your own wine.” He squeezed his hand harder. “Until we figure out whats going on?” He looked don at his own cigarette. That was equally harmful. “I’ll follow through too.”
Wordlessly he stepped on the stick. Crushing hard on his heel.”Now we’re even.” He replied with a smile. “I just want one thing.” Before the other he can response, he pressed his lips against the other’s cheek.

He was sitting in the court. Tiresias couldn’t even tell who was being condoned. But he finally had enough when he heard the insult.
“That’s enough.” The prophet said. He stood up slowly. Tiresias ignored the murmers within the court. This was gettng personal.
“We can’t insult a Baccant.” He started.
“He is a priest of Dionysus.” Another round of agreement amoung the small crowd. Tiresais still stood in his place.
“He is also a guest of your city, Son of Cadmus. The newest decree doesn’t apply to him.” He paused. “A decree that is sacrilegious.”
“How dare you question the decree of the king.”
“I’ve warned you all many times of the consequences.” He crook his head up. “Do you believe the gods would approve of your law?ferll ty have done for Thebes? ”
He walked closer to the disguised Dionysus.
“My fellow countrymen, I plead you give mercy to the Bacchant. His only crime was his beliefs in a town that decided to spur a wine god and Semele.”
“But why should we spur the god of wine in the first place? He is the one who blesses us with wine and vegation we feast on. Is it because of parentage? His erratic behavior? He is a young god but he will grow and learn as the gods before him?”
Tiresias kneeled down.
“Pentheus, look into your heart. Look around your court. This is not the same court as your grandfather Cadmus. Dionysus isn’t doing as much harm as you are. Please give mercy to the Bacchant, let him explain his beliefs and see why he reverves Dionysus.”
He reached for the disguised god’s hand. “He must have lovely hymns about the God.”
Pentheus punished the both of them. Tiresais was to be released in the morning but the Bacchant was to remain for another fortnite.
“I’m sorry for the state of our city, Bacchant. Pentheus has a lot to learn. Man has a lot of sorrows for Semele”
The younger reached out and squeezed the god’s hands.
“If you are released perhaps I can take you to the acropolis.” There was a small smile on his face. “It is a peaceful place where you could worship the god.”
Tiresias stifled a yawn.
“But perhaps bedtime would be best. The earlier we rise, the earlier we can make worship to the wine god.”
Tiresias gritted his teeth. He just wanted to walk away. But the god grabbed his attention with those words.
❛ can’t you see, what you’re doing to me? ❜
Tiresias took a breath before he talked. Trying to control all the feelings, it was hard to do that.
“See?” Tiresias snapped. “That’s the problem isn’t it?” The bitter laugh left his lips. “I see everything. Every possible ending and every path all of you persue.” Tiresias sighed. “I see all the time.” He pointed out. The tears streamed down his face.
“That’s why I should say away.” He confessed. “Because I don’t want to see you in the way I see everyone else.” He let himself close his eyes. Just waiting for him to just walk away. But the wine god touched his face gently.
And in that moment, the seer truly saw Dionysus. In a way that truly shows he cares.
“And that’s the problem isn’t?” Tiresias said. “That’s why this plan of yours won’t work for Apollo.” He sighed. “Because he did fall in love before....” Tiresias paused.
“I just don’t want him to fall for someone and get hurt. Beause love hurts and it’s more often than not reciprocated.” Tiresias fell silent. “There’e no love in Olympus anyhow. It’s just lust and power. That’s why we’re all da-”
Tiresias felt someone squeezing his hand. In that brief moment he let himself take a deep breath. The blush on his face in evident.
“But I have been wrong before.” He squuezed Dio’s hand in return. “Maybe we should head back inside.”
