âťť hiding

he presumes that this is the time when most high school students are dismissed from school, judging from the sea of uniform-clad teenagers filling the streets. it puts him in a really bad mood, really. wooseok has always hated crowds and having to be squashed between strangers from all directions. moreover, seeing so many kids with their uniforms on kind of makes him miss being in school and being with all his peers. but it was either this or starving at home since he forgot to stock up the groceries (and has skipped three meals ever since discovering that he was out of food). clearly, he’s doing very well with this whole independent life thing.
a few more steps later, he is suddenly shoved to the side, directly into the path of another pedestrian walking in the opposite direction. the delay in reaction time causes wooseok to bump rather unceremoniously into the stranger. couple with his already irascible state of mind, wooseok curses rather loudly. “watch where you’re going,” he lashes out – unreasonably, given that it really wasn’t the other party’s fault – as he whips his head up to look at the so-called perpetrator.
his eyes, initially narrowed into a glare, widens. his mouth, initially curled into a nasty snarl, drops open as his jaw slackens. ever since leaving school, he’s never seen this person and the thought of seeing him has never even crossed wooseok’s mind before. how ironic, he thinks briefly, to see his high school teacher just as he was starting to miss being a student.
