River had known Loch was afraid of water for some time now. Similarly, Loch knew his fear of heights. Of course, Loch had also been there in the aftermath of the event that had contributed so much to his constant fear of falling. And, as she had stuck by him while he nursed back to health, and even still when he was having painful days, River would be there for her. He was incredibly touched that, of all of the people for Loch to choose to begin to conquer her fear with, she had chosen him. It was a true testament to the depth of their relationship. And River had most definitely not been kidding when he said he would keep her safe. He planned to keep her as comfortable and safe as he possibly could. He knew how important this was to Loch, he wasn’t going to blow it.Â
