“After something like what just happened you check in.” Rose didn’t like this feeling. She never had. It had started when she was younger and Jason, her best friend, had failed to meet up one evening. She had brushed it off that he had gotten tied up with some need for justice but when news spread about the death of the recent Robin, all she could think about was she hadn’t followed up that night. From that point on, when he came back to her, she made sure to communicate and always check in. It was the one thing she was clingy about but she couldn’t help it.
Now she was standing like an idiot in front of one of his safe houses for the smallest of chances he was at this one - not that she hadn’t checked the others and said the same speech like a fool - and was voicing her concern to a damn security camera. “Listen, I just need to know you’re okay. You owe me that much, whatever we are.” she sighed, the anger wavering as worry crept into her strong resolve, taking a breath to regain herself. She didn’t like this feeling one bit and it felt even worse to be talking to inanimate object because she had no way of knowing if he was even listening or not.
“Please....just let me know you’re okay.”
