Xyla was a creature of habit, following a schedule and sticking to her favourites wherever she went. Friday nights meant popping open bottles of wine and convincing anyone and everyone to go out. Her comfort television show was Friends, though half the time she didn’t pay attention. And her favourite take-out spot was a Thai restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. But lately, she was trying to break out of her routine, which was why she found herself at Seoulite for the second time that week, hunched over their seemingly endless menu.
Brown eyes watched as waitresses carried plates of steaming food from the kitchen to tables and popped open green bottles. Though she didn’t know what the dish was, the scent filling the room was enough to make her stomach rumble and flag down the familiar face walking in her direction. “Dae!” She called out, hoping they’d recognize her as well. @daejungmoon
