While travelling, the party encounter a detour and end up in a village where everything is… off. Food is rotting in the fields and the people are riddled with deformities. And no one can find out what’s going on because the villagers don’t speak the common language.

It’s perfectly reasonable to believe that an unknown powder sold amongst recreational drugs is also a recreational drug, right?

Darkwatch consume bits of the Abyss to better fight it, but they have to keep this bit in balance or it will take them over. In the case of Artyom’s buddy, he went total dark side and we had to put him down.

Artyom was able to negotiate the party’s release with the leader guy, Boughdan, but there was a lot of other beef between them. Artyom was also tensed up because one of his old buddies had been monsterised and was the one that killed everyone at the outpost earlier.

The party found a subterranean outpost above the super-darkness and took a rest there, even though the outpost was full of recent death. They needed the rest.

Turns out there was going reason to be afraid of the dark, these monsters were literally made of it!

Person v person conflict over, time for person v monster.
