When: March 19, 1979, before dinner Where: Briar’s Suite, Hamilton Flint’s Estate Who: Briar Avery, Violet Wilkes, and Coraline Parkinson (@thevioletwilkes & @cautiousxcora)
Briar sat perched on the settee that ran along the end of her bed, blonde curls still loose, a robe covering her chemise as she watched swirls of fabric moving before her. The late afternoon sun was pouring in through the open french doors to her balcony, though the room stayed warm, despite the breeze. Naturally, she had brought a surplus of clothing on the trip, and settling in for the afternoon, began to make her decisions for the evening’s wear. How strange the whole trip seemed, a retreat to an oasis that she had only heard whispers of. Still, her wits were sharp, her mind ticking at every turn.
She was expecting her friends of course, and the knock wasn’t a surprise. The elf let the other women in, and with a small flick of her wand, Briar’s dresses halted, before moving to drape themselves among the various furnishings of the room. Standing, she turned to face her best friends, the girls she trusted more than anyone in the world, and grinned. “Thank Merlin you’re both here. As you can see, I’ve found myself in quite the predicament.”
