Pros:
Very helpful- maybe not always in a particularly useful way, but his intentions are good. Like in a dog bringing you a raw potato from your own kitchen unprompted sort of way
A great hunter. If you like sustainably caught fresh local meat you'll be set for life
Very affectionate. If he loves you, be prepared for him to constantly be draped across your lap or leaning on you while you walk or holding your hand
Cons:
He's possessed/infected by The Shade. It seems to be a mutually symbiotic relationship, and it doesnt attack others unprompted, but it will kill you if you hurt him, accidental or otherwise, or at the very least if it or Mal perceive you as a threat it will lash out
Your clothes and belongings will be stained with oily black smears of Shade Goo and theres nothing you can do about it
If you think he wouldn't see a lizard, pick it up, and eat it mid conversation, you would be very wrong
It's unwise to lie to him. He knows
