I love to try to create new things. Here is my first attempt at crocheting a plant. I started with one we all know really well in the Coachella Valley, the cactus. What do you think? Yesterday was an incredible day filled with so much energy. I started my day with coffee and conversation (ok I had ice tea but coffee sounded better🙃) at @kofficoffee in beautiful Rancho Mirage. Thank you @jvendette . Great to reconnect! ❤️ Next I scurried over to be a guest speaker at Milan Institute in Palm Desert California. The students consisted of barbers, manicurist, aestheticians and cosmetologist over 100 students between both classes (Daytime/Nighttime). I presented information about personal branding which is so my jam. I loved every minute of it! I had a break in between day and night classes so I met with my new friend Jose Vera. It felt like we knew 💕each other FOREVER. (I’m not sure what the J V initials mean. Both appointments carried the same JV.) When I stepped into the evening class I had an entire classroom filled with hard-working adults. Many of them running from a full-time position to listen to me for lecture. 🥰 I am so incredibly grateful to have met all of those wonderful students. It has been a long time since I was in front of a group speaking. I truly missed it. The emotions we shared in that room were authentic. (Emotion - ENERGY IN MOTION) Boy I’m wiped. I’m taking today I settle into my vacation. I will be away from the office from now and will not be returning back until the 25nd. Day 465 on my meditation 🧘‍♀️ journey. Only 5 more days until I start my next chapter in life. Day 432 on my meditation 🧘‍♀️ journey. I started this practice for my own mental health. As the worlds energy dipped last year my emotions reacted. Depression, Anxiety, Self-loathing, Fear, Guilt and Loneliness began to slowly overtake me. I did not want to take medication, not because of my views of RX’s but because I SUCK at taking pills. I ALWAYS forget. Lol. Meditation was my medication alternative. I started hoping that I could do it even with my over active mind, I am grateful to GOD that I tried. Guided meditation is the best for me because someone is with you, guiding you. It saved my life. I’d be happy to give you tips and pointers on how to start a meditation practice.
