It’s birthday project time, Mythical Beasts! Link’s 42nd birthday is coming up on June 1.

This year, the Kommunity is making an Instagram page with the theme “BYMBirthday: 42 Ways to BYMB in 2020.” Link sets an example of kindness & positivity for all of us, and we want to pay it forward in his honor! Let’s show Link how much he has inspired us all to spread love throughout the world.

THE CONCEPT:

We’ve listed 42 ways to BYMB in the world today to honor Link. Please use this link to view the Google Doc with the list: https://bit.ly/3bgPXjE. Each activity will be one post on the IG page, and every contributor for that activity will be featured in the carousel of that post.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

We want to make sure each activity is covered by at least 1 person, so we’re asking you to sign up for what you want to do. Send us an email at [email protected] so we can keep track! We will only accept signups through our email. We may ask you to pick something different if there are already a lot of signups for one thing.

When you do your activity, take a picture or a brief video to be posted on the Instagram page. If it’s not possible to do that, send us a short blurb about what you did and we’ll design a text box for you instead. Email us to submit your contribution and include the following:

Your name for credit

Instagram/social media handle of your choice

A short, 2-sentence message to go along with your photo/video

DEADLINES:

We’ll accept signups as they come. Please make sure you have the time and ability to complete your activity before signing up so we don’t have any last-minute gaps.

The final deadline to submit your contribution is MAY 27 by 11:59 pm Eastern Time.

There are 20 days left until the deadline for final submissions to Link’s #BYMBirthday project! All submissions must be emailed by May 27, 11:59 pm Eastern Time.

If you haven’t signed up, please check the Google Doc and sign up before you do any activities — a few are already full, but most have room for more contributors.

We have a maximum of 9 signup slots for each activity. We want to make sure we have space for everyone who wants to contribute, so we’re asking you to SIGN UP for what you want to do. Send us an email at [email protected] so we can keep track! We will only accept signups through our email. If you send a submission without claiming a signup first, we may not have space to post yours in the final project.

When you do your activity, take a picture or a brief video (less than 1 minute) to be posted on the Instagram page. If it’s not possible to do that, send us a short blurb about what you did and we’ll design a text box for you instead. Email us again to submit your contribution, and tell us the following:
