AHHHH YALL POTN IS BACK AND THE AU IS GONNA BE HERE IN 2026!!!! Also I am very against the live action. I am against live actions in general, unless it’s a book adaptation. But live action remakes of animations or comics in this case never do the original justice in my opinion. Whatever I won’t watch it anyway lawl.

I finally got around to reading Painter of the Night! I had been putting it off for a while bc I wanted to be able to have time to really sit down and enjoy it. And well, I finished it at 4:30am this morning, so safe to say I enjoyed it lol. God where do I even start?? I have so many thoughts and feelings I can’t even put into words. First and foremost, the art is breathtaking. You can see the love and effort Byeonduck put into it. The art got better as the story went on too! I can’t even tell you how many times I stopped reading just to stare at a panel and admire it for like 5 mins lol. As for the characters. I absolutely fell in love with Nakyum. He is my precious baby. And the way Seungho fell so deeply and utterly in love with him was so perfect and beautiful I could cry rn. The music box ughhhhh. Omg and some of the lines in this manhwa had me balling my eyes out. Here are two of many that had me ugly crying, “Never in my past had I wished for anything for my own fate yet life with you has me eagerly awaiting each new day and savouring the passing of the seasons with joy. Na-Kyum, to deprive me of you is to deprive me the very meaning of my existence,” and “Though fate parts of us once more, do not for a moment think that I have abandoned you, no matter how many seasons pass…we shall meet again.” FUCK EVEN TYPING THAT OUT HAS ME TEARING UP. Seungho has such a way with words he has me folding, why is he basically a Shakespearean poet LMAO💀😭 NYKYUM NAKYUM MY KYUM. DONT even get me started on him. I always have such a soft spot for ukes like him that are just so soft and kind. God I loved him so much. I don’t even know what to say. Anyways that was great. POTN is officially one of my top loved manhwas. I hope love like that exists irl. I will definitely read this again when I need a good cry. I’m so tempted to buy the physical copy. I can’t wait for the side stories, but Byeonduck deserves a long deserved break. I will be waiting patiently! 🙏🏽
