The almost rhetorical query that escaped his mouth, was filled with surprise. Of course, with such weather it was highly predictable to have such places for public entertainment, to be created, even if temporarily. The Raijinshuu had already requested him to visit miscellaneous localities that provide activities suitable for winter. It wasn't like as if he would decline them in his customary, blunt way-- but he wasn't the best person to have fun with either. And yet again, these three individuals always manage to persuade him with any means possible, making sure not to cross the line of limitations. So long as they have acknowledged where the barrier stands, things were as good as gold. And if they would manage to overcome those borders, the consequences would be minimal against them. Sometimes, he would wonder himself if he was too soft on them, especially once he returned back to the clamorous premises. Another sign of change? Might be.
But what surprised him was the fact that no other but the young shinobi was the one that asked him to visit this place. An ice staking rink. No further exegesis was needed. The name was enough to make numerable images to occupy his mind for a brief momentousness. Up next, various contemplations of him wearing those shoes especially designed for such activity, and sliding through the frosted water--- trying to retain his balance, wasn't something that he wanted to witness, nor himself nor everybody else. Perhaps this wasone of the reasons why the blond made such inquiry? To behold a ludicrous sight of the personification of thunder? Who knows. It won't be surprising if that's the case. He was quite the jester and prank master in comparison with the S-class mage, but he was also someone with an honest and a genuine persona. Hence, he managed to obtain Laxus' respect and trust. Signs of strong camaraderie, it is.
A sigh was released from subtle lips as vigorous arms were folded thereunder his broad chest. In all honesty, he wasn't really impressed with the idea, notwithstanding how fitting it is for such celebration. Christmas was a holiday that should be spent with family, or at least-- those that you consider as a family. Well, for the artificial Dragon Slayer-- the boisterous Guild, known as Fairy Tail is what he considers as his 'home'. But taking into consideration that in these days the majority was busy with missions, including himself, or even ornamenting the building with lights and garlands as well as other festival-like items---- it made it impossible for him to catch a breath and luxuriate moments with his comrades. At least, not until everything would be ready for this particular celebration. And a walk in the streets brought an encounter with Naruto, thus the whole question. Fate's plans? Unknown to him. One thing for sure-- he was certainly not impressed. However, lieu of showing such emotions, he subsisded them with a blank expression, and his deep vox was boind to do the trick.
❛ Why don't you find someone else?
Somebody that you can have more fun with?
I'm certainly not the kind of person to enjoy such activities. ❜
