So about thatĀ āinsiderā in the BW delay Variety article supposedly saying that the delay wonāt affect the mcu timeline:
1. Either Marvel fucking lied and BW is a straight prequel that will have absolutely no ramifications to the future of the mcu.
2. Theyāre making major changes to the release slate that pushes back F&WS and all the shows/movies back so BW can still release in theater first.
3. BW is gonna be released to VOD/Disney + instead of in theaters so marvel can preserve as much of the release slate as possible.Ā
Like 90% of clickbait articles about the Black Widow movie make sense if you assume the supposed comics fanboys writing them got their nerd cred off obscure knowledge of white male heroes, but learned everything about Natasha's arcs from skimming Wikipedia.
It certainly explains how they got "Yelena will replace Natasha in the Avengers": if you hear Yelena wants to replace Natasha as the Black Widow, but don't know enough to realize the context is as the Red Room's top spy, and you know the MCU is looking for legacy characters, it kind of fits.
It doesn't make those articles less infuriating or inaccurate, but at least they feel slightly less out of left field.

Thatās an interesting choice of a tag for a movie that, excepting the post-credits scenes, is very clearly ground-level SHIELD stuff, and pretty damn focused on the Sony-owned parts of the MCU.
Almost seems like theyād only include that if itās necessary for a very-soon-upcoming movie.
Almost seems like it might be appropriate if it had to in some way deal with the movieās overall themes of how to deal with the fractured connection between a mentor and mentee before their time together was up, and the goal of recapturing some of that relationship.

Do you think Nat will get a resurrection in the BW movie? I feel personally her devellopment was rushed during Endgame, making her death feel unfinished and unsatisfying for a character's end. I wanted to see the "nitty-grittys" of the family, the bonding, the sheer pain and angst living all together, the fun training scenes. That turned into a bit of a rant there, sorry.

She is one of my favorite characters and my second favorite avenger so I wanted to know about everything: her past, her relationships with other avengers, Budapest. I was excited about her upcoming movie but then Endgame happened :/Ā I have seen a few people say that her death made sense, but to me it didnāt and was completely unnecessary. I still want to know everything about her though, because all Endgame did is made me love and appreciate her more.Ā
As for her resurrection, I really donāt see how that could happen? Feige has confirmed the movie is a prequel and the Russos have confirmed that soul stone doesnāt give back the souls. So unless the Nat we know was a clone like in Tales of Suspense (Issue #100 to #104) Iām afraid she is truly gone :(
