I’m actually following some of the insanity happening around Buzzly Art. It was interesting enough that I’m writing a full article for it on the WordPress blog. It may take a few days to finish my research and writing since my full-time job keeps me busy. I did post a quick and dirty thread on Twitter this afternoon.

If you’re not up to speed with the drama, the tldr is that there was a poll made with very vague and uncomfortable questions.
It’s made the majority of the users rethink their time on the website and decide not to use it for the time being, or even quit and empty their accounts.
account deletion doesn’t work right now apparently, so emptying your acc seems the only way to make it look fully abandoned.
There was also a suggestion by a staff member at some point? that they were in support of en ef tees, (You know, those, ugh.) and that just ticked off the artist community.

734637724482633728 I'm actually one of the anons who you call a "creepy weirdo". I DO use Buzzly, or rather, used to use Buzzly. I was really rooting for it, too. Again, I'm a rape victim and I don't understand why anyone would support rape art. But if thinking *I'm* weird for not supporting rape art makes you feel better, then sure, go for it. And again, I won't be touching Buzzly again because of the past drama and now that Chris owns the site... Yeah, no thank you. I don't trust him.
