Cozy & Quiet Mornings 😴☕️ Most of my weekday mornings are spent rushing to get a workout in before my workday starts, but today I decided to let myself have a break! I slept in a little bit, then brought my breakfast & coffee up to bed to read and relax before I start working for the day! 🤗 (I started Apples Never Fall last night and am LOVING it!) I've been working from home since March 2020 now and have really struggled with staying motivated (Sleeping, relaxing, and working all in the same room can get to ya 😅). I've found that trying to stick to a schedule helps, but I also think it's important to take a break and relax sometimes! Ma's language does so much in this book, and its precision, its purposeful specificity, implicates an entire generation. But what is most remarkable is the gentleness with which Ma describes those working within the capital-S System. What does it mean if a person finds true comfort working as a "cog" in a system they disagree with? Is that comfort any less real?
