It’s not often I am able to get new gear so when I do - I need it to be something that speaks. Have a character, a vibe, a personality, a organic behavior. I have begun my process of learning a new friend. You know when you meet someone and your like damn…they were cool as shit! I just had that moment. In today’s world most company’s are pumping out products that can do the job but don’t add any nuts ( yes I went there ) and the company’s that have amazing gear, well let’s just say you will never get your fucking hands on it unless you have budgets like Jay Z and most of the time they don’t even use it. With that said- I have checked out records recorded on iPhones that are more interesting than top selling records. I don’t really feel like you NEED expensive gear to make music, but if your searching for inspiration through technology and or innovations I say forge ahead and be as creative and inspired as you can be. That’s what I love to do. This is a hand made object built buy a group of people in Cladwell, ID that has a love for music and audio equipment. I called the guy who made the things that’s in my house in Philadelphia. Call the guy who made the thing you looking at now lol. (I really do enjoy the iPhone) all that to say, some things feel more personal. I wish Vintage Audio (Reviveaudio.com) the best of luck.
