I've had to be super under the radar this month, staying with family who feel strongly about witchcraft, but I've been itching to do something...today's wolf full moon had me jittery all week, and it's been building up to a thunderstorm all week as well. Today I caved, and snatched a quiet moment to ramble unsupervised through the bush to get some harvesting done. I found some wild raspberry, melaleuca and a few other things, but the real find was some snakeskin fragments i uncovered in an old well. Looks like a king brown, big feller too, but the skin was pretty old so I'll have to double check. I did some weeding as well...cattle next door keep seeding Stinking Roger and cobblers pegs all through the bushland. When we moved here as kids it was pristine and untouched, sad to see it all changing for the worse as civilization closes in. I like to pay my dues when I harvest, so as well as leaving a traditional silver coin I try and do something practical as well. The thunderstorm broke on my way back to the house, but it's still sticky and electric, so here's hoping Thor will send more than just noise and light!!
