Look at that chunky girl move! Only having one eye doesn’t stop her!
[THROWBACK] Tried to take some good pics of Bursto so I could identify her species! I’m fairly confident she’s a Southern Toad judging by her coloration, size, and the knobs on her head.
Toad.... or balloon?
[THROWBACK] A good pic showing Bursto’s missing eye. It looks like it’s probably still there, just underdeveloped and underneath the skin, like maybe it was a birth defect or something. But then again, who knows? I did confirm that even though she blinks it sometimes (by sinking it into her head,) she can’t see out of it, though.

Nighttime activities... exposed
[THROWBACK] Bursto after her first night with me, soaking in her tiny little makeshift pond and looking a lot fatter with some worms in her belly. :-)
[THROWBACK] Bursto blending in among the dirt in the little setup I threw together for her out of a big Critter Keeper I already had. I still want to add some more cover like leaves and stuff to make it homier until I can upgrade her to a ten gallon tank.
