GOD is interesting; one of my artistic pursuits is wrapped up in explaining my interpretation of the concept of “blue”. I write in books and on random scraps of paper: songs, poems, letters, drawings, and thoughts about blue. In chapter 11 of his book, Don Miller mentions looking up into the 'Blue Like Jazz' referring to the sky. It is the habit of writers to describe things that are abstract by comparing them to more tangible things. So I wish I could describe to you the feeling of my favorite color. It's the reason schools paint their walls blue, it is the color of peace. If a color can evoke a certain mood, then to it, may be attached several other things. For me blue represents a spectrum of feelings. Blue is like the feeling you get when you smell the leaves. The reason it is more than just the smell of the leaves is because leaves just smell, but scent is tied to memory. So smelling something makes you remember. But even more than just an emotional memory, blue is a feeling of being alive no matter if your memories are good or bad. It’s like that feeling of being nervous right before you speak to an audience of people, or what it feels like to hold someone else’s hand. It’s like running when your body isn't moving; and it is like having coffee with a smart person. It has always been. Seeing the stars invokes it, because it is that feeling of being very small but enjoying that feeling and knowing that you still have the potential the change the world. For you it is that feeling whenever you experience your favorite art, it is beautiful; it is the most beautiful thing you can think of. It is knowing that there is something behind everything. This is true, from me to you, blue is saying that Jesus is that something, and everything is beautiful because he is God.
