After approximately 40 hrs on a boat travelling from central Myanmar into the jungle of the north I ended up in a shabby but obviously reliable Nissan for my way back. A burping lady behind and a betel nut spitting driver beside me. Foreigner price for 30$. Flight from Homalin was fully booked. Concrete roads were promised. Outcome: 12hrs on bumpy dust roads through the bush roller coaster.
