This classic American cheeseburger recipe is a true favorite. It's a juicy and flavorful burger with all the traditional fixings. Perfect for your next barbecue or weeknight dinner!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 slices American cheese. 4 hamburger buns. 1/4 cup diced onions. 1/4 cup lettuce leaves. 4 slices of tomato. 4 pickle slices. Ketchup and mustard to taste. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat. Make 4 patties out of the ground beef that are all the same size. Add salt and pepper to each patty. For medium-rare, cook the patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side on a grill or pan. You can change the cooking time to suit your taste. Add a slice of American cheese to each patty and let it melt in the last minute of cooking. Also, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are just barely brown while the patties are cooking. For each burger, start with a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of the bun. Then add a tomato slice, a beef patty with melted cheese, diced onions, and a pickle slice. Put the other half of the bun on top and add ketchup and mustard to taste. Enjoy your traditional American cheeseburger right away!
