@i-am-the-agonist They'd only been done with the semester for 2 weeks before she started feeling the pains. It started as a deep throb in her lower back, coming in slow waves. At first she ignored it all as best as she could, and she especially didn't tell Amy. According to all her books labor would take hours, maybe even days, so why worry her girlfriend? Besides, they were staying at Amy's parents house and there was a lot of pressure for them to find their own apartment and move out ASAP. This would only make that pressure worse for Amy. She avoided everyone in the house as much as possible. As the contractions grew closer together and the pain turned more intense she found herself unable to hide it any longer. It was bed time and as she tried to change into the oversized shirt she usually wore she stopped completely in her tracks, her eyes shut tightly as she held onto her stomach. This shit was not fun at all.
