Rumor is the rule will be published in the Federal Register on Friday at which time the 90-day destruction/abandonment window will start. Personally, I don't care for bump stocks or even full-auto infantry carbines. Last FA gun I shot was an HK416. Fun, but I would have completed the course of fire faster with my BCM 16" middy. In 95% of use cases involving carbines, semi-auto is MORE EFFECTIVE. Interviews with combat vets and a study of military history bears this out. But the fact that bump-stocks are useless (and stupid) in my opinion does not change the Bill of Rights or the process for passing a law. This is a deadly departure from the checks and balances instituted by our Founding Fathers. Even liberals should tremble at the dangerous new world we are entering. By the way, while Trump is acting despotic, why doesn't he use this power to keep some campaign promises?
