Bumblebeemus Prime quick drawing
Before and after! My dear old Bumbus has been developing benign tumors that begin like skin tags, then grow large and bloody. They were going to hinder her vision and she was already pawing at them. After months of saving hundreds of dollars for the surgery, she had them removed today! She was woozy and needed help up the stairs to my place but she is home and in good health! Stitches come out in two weeks and she’s on antibiotics, but so far so good :) Here’s to one tough old lady!

They’re going to kill my dog
I have a chocolate lab named Bumbus. She is a senior dog and an absolute sweetie.
I have had her for years. She was my childhood anxiety buddy, my best friend, and the most gentle soul on earth.
I moved recently to get closer to work. My apartment doesn’t allow larger dogs. My parents kept Bumbus, and my little brother too. They like her and she’s a part of the family.
Recently (only the last two days) she’s had a couple accidents in the house. She may have caught a little sick, but who knows. She barked a couple times at night. Now my dad (who has dementia and is unnecessarily mean) has decided he’s getting her put down. They have an appointment made for next week. They claim she’s old and insane and it’s no way to live.
That isn’t true. She is loving and playful and is always happy to see you. I went to visit her and she was so excited. They’re just sick of caring for her in my absence. I feel sick.
When you agree to have a pet you agree to give it special care in its senior years. You don’t just abandon them (my cat as a kid was ditched at a shelter to die alone and scared because my mom decided she was too much work in her later years). You wouldn’t ditch your grandparents and let them die if they have accidents or issues with memory. It isn’t fair to do that to your pet. She’s still got energy and love to give and so much life and they want her dead because she’s no longer convenient for them. I feel like I’m going to die. I’m begging each day to keep her safe and I’m fighting all I can. She’s my baby and I will protect her.
