Psst, I'm gonna do a short run of three Violetta spots tomorrow to help me get more resin and go towards travel expenses for NYC Doll Con. They should be finished before the con! I will offer shipping OR con pickup; you don't have to be attending the con to get one.
These orders will be the very first Violettas to exist! If you support this earlybird order, you'll be one of the first people to have one.
I'm prioritizing PIF orders, but will open to layaway in two days (Feb 1st) if the spots aren't filled by then.
I'll post a form here tomorrow and other socials for anyone who's interested. Aiming to do 11am Pacific US time.
Hey all, here's a preview of what the finished Violettas will look like! This one is in ResiOne's TH-BJD cream pink. I'll have her at my booth at NYC Doll Con next month.
I have six others whose parts I'm processing, and I'm still printing a few more! I'm kinda in printing hell right now tbh, but assembling this girl as a test has encouraged me a bit.
All four of the first earlybird orders are printed and I'll be processing their parts with the others.
A lil pic of the assembled Violetta prototype ๐
I'll have some more news for these soon, going to wait till I have her magnets next week and make a small revision to the inside of the tail base, and a version with slightly resized hands to see if I want to change it.
My next doll will by my sphinx, but as I'm currently printing big Violet orders as well as con prepping, I won't be doing an official release of this doll yet (or the sphinx!). But, I will be making some for the two cons this year. After the summer, when things are more settled, I'll be looking ahead to the sphinx and Violetta--in that order.
I do want a little less stress with my travel expenses, though, so I will likely have like... four or fewer of these available for a limited ordering period. I have to decide whether they'll be con pickup or whether I will just ship them out early to save on my luggage space lol. But I'll keep yall updated on that.
Hey all, I'm gonna open one more earlybird preorder spot for a Violetta tomorrow, 3/1 at 11am Pacific US time. Any of the four ResiOne TH-BJD colors are available! This will help me with some more of my travel expenses to NYC con in April.
I plan to have the earlybird orders done by before the con. You can choose convention pickup or shipping.
I'll post the link in a reblog tomorrow!

I did NYC doll con last weekend! I don't have Blurred Bits pics from the con, so you get an image of Sphinx Violet's riddle booth here. I made a post about Violetta (the 43cm version of Werewolf Violet) orders on IG and here is part of it, which I hope will explain where I'm currently at with this sculpt:
Since I kinda got an faq at the con, I want to mention here: Iโm not sure if Iโll do a preorder for Violetta. Iโm not just saying this to create scarcity or fomo, lol; I genuinely am not sure whether I will, for these reasons!: 1.) Iโm gonna make my sphinx next! It will take all of my free time to finish up the 3d file and print her prototype alongside my remaining Werewolf Violet (the 68cm one) orders 2.) I have other orders to do! Lovely people gave me money long before NYC con and they deserve their dolls to be finished 3.) I view Violetta as like a resized version of the โrealโ 68cm doll and Iโm not as enthused about printing a bunch because it isnโt a new project for me 4.) I think it would be cool to have Violetta as a convention exclusive or an occasional doll that I print a small number of for specific events or purposes 5.) But my main reason is to prevent burnout in myself. I have to follow my new projects and do those, otherwise I will not enjoy my life lol 6.) There are engineering reasons why she cannot be cast
Hope this helps. Been thinking about it a lot lately but I feel like based on what I know about myself and my work schedule, it seems less likely than I initially thought.
Anyway, THANK YOU ALL AGAIN for coming by to talk to me. I didnโt get to see much of the con but shout out to the other vendors I met, who are all lovely and talented and supportive
Oh! I forgot to update on here that I'm printing Violetta, which is the 1/4 scale version of Werewolf Violet. The last plate (tail pieces) should be done today, but I don't have the right size elastic for her, so I can't assemble her till it arrives.
Because I am primarily going to be focusing on printing the six larger Werewolf Violet orders, as well as printing some dolls for NYC con in April, I will not yet be doing an order for Violetta, but plan to at some point. Not sure when, as I also have my sphinx doll I'm working on. However, I do want to have a few of these (in ResiOne) for the cons, as exclusives. I might offer an order-ahead option for NYC con to help with travel costs, but I would only do this if I knew I had enough to offer as ones that wouldn't be on display at my booth.
I do plan to jettison this prototype soon though because I gotta get some more ResiOne for the convention versions of her, so please keep an eye out for that. I will work on sanding her and coating her joints soon, hopefully this weekend!
This was a small side trip as I waited for resin reinforcements for the big Violets. Once I finish up my second PIF order, I'm going to start post-processing the two of those and getting them finished up. But, in the meantime, I'll be running my printers for the next ones, as well as some con dolls once I can get more resin.
