So here's what it boils down to: IF SOMEONE IS BREAKING INTO YOUR HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, STAY IN BED!

Coz I was thinking, if someone has broken in and made any effort at all to be quiet then they are probably assuming that there is someone in the house that’s asleep or whatever, but regardless there’s a pretty high chance that they are prepared to defend themselves (seeing as though they’ve just broken the law once they’re probably not going to stress over bashing/raping/killing you in a panic).

So in light of this, if you DO hear someone then the smartest thing to do in the long run (especially if you happen to be female I’m sorry to say), is to stay in bed.

Because personally I’d rather someone stole my TV and then left, than me go out there, like they do in all the movies and TV shows (and apparently real life if you watch the news) and get my nose broken or my glory hole plundered.

They’re hoping that you stay asleep so that they don’t have to confront and hurt you otherwise they would have just charged in there making as much noise as possible and shanking you where you lie, but no.
