He and Drift had been a tangled mass of two mechs and their limbs all day, just purring and sharing love and affection through their bond as well as sending it to Nightgale. Several days after they had merged, Nightgale's spark had split from Crystal's and the pain that accompanied the action had been the worst that the jet had experienced short of his own death. There had been a backlog of pings accumulating in his comm link and with a very lazy movement, he reached for it and checked the frequencies.
He didn't know what to make of a few of them but there were some somewhat familiar ones. A general greeting was in order for this motley group of new frequencies. But of course he was going to be cheerful about it. Being helpful also worked.

Most parts of the ship were dark and brooding, something Drift still had to adjust to since he’d been so used to the light in the past couple of years, but other then that he was well enough. However something felt off when he entered the room. Especially in the way he had spoken those words. His silhouette is what worried him the most, where was his arm? Running over to him he quickly kneeled beside him. Anxious optics scanned his frame revealing the intensity of his wounds. Feeling Lockdown grasp at his plating he shifted closer to him.
"Lockdown…What, what happened?"
Lockdown's collar plating shifted as Drift came closer; servo coming to gently grasp the samurai's helm as he leaned over with a hiss in his voice. His optics dimmed, he knew he was going to be asked that but in a way, it was a test for Lockdown to truly know where Drift stood. And deep down, he'd prepared himself for what would happen.
"It'll be repaired soon. I have someone who's fixing me, even.. if its slow."
His emerald optics staring down, watching the mech closely. "I got into a fight with Optimus Prime. I captured the girl in order to draw him out." Prime got the girl back with some minor scratches. "I got the brute of it. But I don't mind it. I lost one of my canines." That's what he was more hurt about, that a creature was killed out of cold blood, when it only was sent out to retrieve his arm without any harm. Now, he was to await to see if Drift was okay or not with what had happened. If Drift got up and walked away, so be it...
