I’ve updated my Rentry in my pinned to reflect my current stance on Wikis
( specifically the LGBTA Miraheze Wiki and it's strange new policy which I talked about in this post which has the screenshot and more of my specific thoughts / issues )
( Image ID. A Rentry screenshot, the first paragraph says "You have permission to put my terms and flags on wikis (like the MOGAI Miraheze Wiki) as long as you don’t change/remove/add anything (like definitions or color meanings) and give credit/link back for ppl trying to archive!!"
The second paragraph says "While this policy does apply to the LGBTA Miraheze Wiki and it's new off-shoot, I want to be very clear that", the following is highlighted, "I disagree heavily with their policy of not allowing clear & SOURCED warnings in articles that certain coiners/creators and their works are transphobic / exclusionary.", the highlight ends.
"The statement that Exclusionism and Bigotry are "subjective" when the LGBTA wiki has articles that give clear definitions and examples of Exclusionism/Exclus Groups & Bigotry [each group has a link to it's wiki article with it's definitions] makes no sense to me." The following is highlighted, "If those definitions are sourced & allowed to stay up on the wiki, you should have a clear reference point. )
"More detail/thoughts here," [the link from the top of this post is here] but until that policy is walked back or radically fixed I would prefer my works be put on on alternate wikis first, such as the MOGAI or Nonbinary Miraheze wiki." End ID. )
Here is the policy just in case the above post link breaks / for context
( Image ID. A discord screenshot featuring two messages from user Jeb_ CC.
The first says "Small reminder that I won't be accepting wiki edits that states creators/coiners as exclusionist, phobic, etc; considering a lot of what counts as phobic+exclusionist is very biased and up to personal interpretation. (like how some argue that bi lesbians are bi-phobic). Also won't accept edits that state they're racist, sexist, etc. What the creators have done/what they do should only be included in the wiki text if it directly relates to the context of that page."
The second says "But we shouldn't be having these call outs and accusations in the wiki. The wiki is meant to be unbiased and informative, not a stage for witchhunting. " End ID. )
