"These creatures pair well with each other, both in combat and for a pleasant dinner. I wish I brought more spices, but I realize that is my own fault. Perhaps when I stop by a town next I should buy more if possible. Although... I don't actually have money do I? I suppose I should eventually get a job then."
(rewritten notes under cut)
Flying-Flower Beasts - mostly pink, but cute! Has stamin (variable amounts), with feet-like leaves. The bottom whorl of petals seem to be able to spin, but upon further inspection I have no clue how it does that. Older variants seems to have more petals, and when grounded the beasts stand on the feet-leaves.
At the base of the inner core of the flower itself is a meaty flesh-like part that the eyes attach to. The taste of this beast, once cooked, is quite peculiar. It is like if a grub was mixed with a lotus stem. Delightful, but best eaten with something flavorful too add crunch.
Fly Wasp-Mantis Mimics - have the characteristic shiny Fly eyes. I do not recommend eating the eyes. No (seen) specimens seem to have stingers. Additionally, I have the vaguest feeling that this species should have more legs (for whatever reason). To someone who is less skilled in identification, these mimics are likely pretty convincing.
The arms (which curl up and extend quite far) are quite tough to chew, but the largest section of the arm is both meaty and delicious. The rest of the species is not worth the effort needed to take it down. I would consider the mimics a treat, perhaps best suited for fancy dinners with this as a main course. (need to think more on this one)

"Since I haven't much else to do but travel, I suppose I'll start drawing the animals I observe. Starting with myself, I am completely unique to Bugaria. Through my travels I have seen many things, but Bugaria seems to be the calmest as of yet, which says some things.
Their customs are strange, and the people stranger, but they are polite and that's all I can ask for."
Observations - none, log entry 1 - This page is a mission statement.
Through this book I want to mark down the interesting beasts and plants that I spot throughout my travels through this so-called Bugaria. I plan to write down information about these beasts that I find interesting, and give my own commentary on their various behaviors if intriguing.
(This blog is sort of about RP but mostly about redrawing bug fables. I love the style, but personally I have a much more detailed imagination and would love to bring that to fruition. I play as Centique, my bugarian self-insert that travels and is treated horribly by the people who live here. Tortured artists rise up!!! Centique is from the world Pherofall, a setting me and some buddies have been/will continue to work on for quite some time. oh yay
I will answer asks if sent, but I am literally the busiest fucking bee on the planet currently so expect late responses.
Set after the end of the game, a couple months into the reparations of Bugaria. This blog has a path laid out for the forseeable future, and will stick to that quite vaguely. exciting isn't it.)
