Update for Over & Over Chapter 12:
I am still currently working on it! It's mostly finished so I do hope to post this weekend, but it might be delayed another week. In an effort to be more transparent and less avoidant of my promises- I am steadily working on it, but my body can't keep up like I want to.
My shoulders and wrists are in a lot of pain this week, as are my knees and ankles. Every sitting, standing, and laying position hurts. Writing hurts. My eyes are blurring and I have headaches again. If I eat, I get nauseous. But if I don't, I'm also nauseous. I can't sleep well either. I'm trying to find a balance of progress and not overexerting myself. I appreciate your patience while I try and figure out what's wrong.
This marks four months of outpatient physical therapy that has changed nothing, so my patience has been worn a little thin, and my optimism isn't exactly present. And that's just because they don't know what's wrong and can't fix it, don't even get me started on the bills. Working on this story is one of the little bits of joy I have, even if it hurts.
Thank you again for sticking with me, and I can't wait to see you all in 12!

i hate how it's so much less acceptable to have a unique writing style than it is to have a unique art style. like i'm so sorry but i simply cannot view them through different lenses. when you start picking at things in writing that clearly mark out a specific author's style i immediately picture you as a snobby art teacher scolding a student for drawing anime. sometimes the story an author wants to convey requires them to write in a way you have labelled "incorrect" but it's like!!!! that's their style!!! i stand firm in my belief that you CANNOT do creative writing wrong. (this excludes the use of genAI as i simply do not consider that creative writing for obvious reasons) if that makes me "anti-intellectual" then fuck me i guess. why are visual artists allowed to get away with noodle arms, three-fingered hands, giant eyes, etc. but god forbid someone's grammar is a little off when they are writing a fan fiction for fun and for free.

gonna be a hater here for a second. if you, as an accomplished and knowledgeable artist, draw the same button-nosed, big-eyed, skinny girls all the time with almost no diversity to speak of, it's going to be questioned. if someone rightfully asks if you believe you have same-face syndrome and your response is that you don't because you CHOOSE to draw the same face every time because that's "just what you like to draw," i'd argue that's worse than just admitting you have same-face syndrome!! i'd argue that's still same-face-syndrome in fact, just on purpose for some reason!

maybe this is just me. i hadn't even known of the phenomenon where apparently some people have decided that the order in which you combine characters' names for a ship name dictates who is the top and who is the bottom (already just typing that out feels absolutely fucking asinine to me) until i saw it with one specific ship i happen to like. whatever. if that's how you wanna do things go for it. i guess. but then i saw fanart of the ship where the artist put in the post itself to not tag it with one of the two ship names. and added an edit later that said they would block people if they did. i'm a staunch supporter of the liberal use of the block button don't get me wrong, but also... come on man. i have one tag on my blog for my own organizational purposes for that ship. and it was the one they didn't want. i'm not going to tag it with the other ship name for a reason that i think is fucking stupid just because you think it matters who tops and bottoms in a relationship. it doesn't matter by the way. whether someone tops or bottoms does not dictate their personality or have any bearing on any other aspect of them as a character. it literally does not matter. most ship names i use don't even have this as an option. most ships have one fucking name that people stick to. why the fuck are you blocking people who want to reblog and share your art just because you don't like the fucking SHIP NAME THEY USE???? i can understand not wanting people to ship tag things that you didn't make to be ship content. if someone tagged art i made of two characters being completely platonic that i believe are absolutely only platonic with a ship name of them, i'd be pretty fucking annoyed. that's not what this was. this artist tagged their art with one ship name and said do NOT under any circumstances tag this with the other common ship name. that's fucking ridiculous to me. am i wrong???
