and on the same topic I hate the episode John Ritter guest starred in (even though I love John Ritter) because he played a character severely abusive/controlling as both a romantic partner and as a father figure while on the surface coming across as nothing but super sweet, generous and well-meaning, to the point where no one believed his victim(s) until they witnessed the behaviour themselves and like he turns out to be a crazy robot and gets destroyed so ~happy ending~ but the world is full of Teds who AREN'T robots, and THEY'RE the scary ones.
