#buffer tube

I haven’t had much time lately to design all of the things I would like, however, I did do some work on this classy character. Anyone who owns a mp5/mp5k/clone understands the markup on basic accessories for them, thus I make a hobby out of customizing the this one myself. 

The idea of Shockwave Blade is tantalizing, but, at the same time, I like how compact the pistol is in its out of the box form.  My goal was to have a Shockwave Blade on this guy that could be easily removed, without buying a bunch of unreasonably marked up parts just to see what felt best. So I designed this. It is a quick detaching pistol buffer tube that locks on the back of this style pistol, with a very satisfactory “click”. If you look at the gif, you can see the lever snap as it goes into place. All one has to do is simply press the lever and the buffer tube will be released to slip off. It does not fold, because I like how slim the pistol is when only using the sling to carry it. 

Hopefully the Shockwave Blade will arrive tomorrow. 

I have wanted to get a low profile rail so the pistol can co-witness with its dot. I did fork over the money for a rail, and hopefully the new low profile rail will arrive sometime soon.
