budapest day 3: i got a selfie with sergio perez and paddy lowe, was literally within touching distance of nico rosberg and was this close to getting a photo with him, and briefly saw valtteri and some of the red bull crew guys. overall a success, though im bummed out about the nico thing, it was literally so close but he was clearly in a hurry and drove off somewhere. but damn. he looks so handsome up close. also sergio is a total sweetheart, bless him.

yeah, agree, this is one ot the cities i want to visit so much. are you staying in budapest or nearby the circuit? and why did you choose hungarian gp? i really hope you'll share your experience after weekend :)
yes, it’s really lovely, i’m really enjoying it so far! we’re staying in an apartment right in the centre – by deák ferenc square – and taking taxis up (luckily they’re so close by) to the track. it was our first time on track today (going to the race on sunday as well) and we got stuck in so much traffic i literally thought the whole thing would be pointless, but i actually got the chance to see a lot more than i thought i would, so it was great. as to why budapest and the hungarian grand prix, it was the one closest to poland, where we were travelling from, so it seemed like the most logical choice. i also like how it combines city and track so you get a nice mixture of both. and it’s also nice because of the polish-hungarian link and how a lot of poles go to that grand prix and how when robert kubica was racing it was the closest thing to a home grand prix. and there is no hungarian driver currently on the grid so everyone is equal, in that sense, which is also nice (a LOT of ferrari fans here though, especially kimi fans.) and yes i’ll definitely make a summary/experience post when i get back home. honestly the pit walk was just magical, i loved every minute of it, even if i didn’t get to see the drivers, it was just a totally surreal experience to stand where the cars line up on the grid and yeah, i really enjoyed it. it was tough, with all the crowds and the time delay, but man it was worth it.

with a non-f1 friend, hah. we’re doing the pit walk today (damn it feels so weird to say) and the race on sunday and then friday and saturday just touristy stuff, so it’s a nice compromise and everyone’s happy. i’m actually really excited about the sightseeing part tbh, it’s a really pretty city
