i know i know!!! But, I love how he cares that john learns things properly, so he dedicates so much thought to them, and his subconscious is telling him to teach him more stuff

Ah, yes, Jack’s forced retirement was basically them shutting down or cutting back his department, but I imagine if you go to the FBI and say ‘that cannibal serial killer is back in the country and I know where he is’ then they’ll probably listen.

I imagine when he told the italian police he was part of the FBI he simply lied to attempt to avoid them killing him, it didn’t work but I don’t blame him for trying.

I assume, as by the time the second half of season 3 starts, the BAU is back to full throttle, Hannibal’s capture changes things.

I imagine Jack’s forced retirement was a mixture of things, failure to catch Hannibal, Bella being ill, as well as the financial dilemmas. Too much bad press basically.
