Dos and Don’ts of Bubble Soccer or Football
Bubble soccer or football is now the in thing. It’s fun, safe, and does not lack the rush of adrenaline of traditional football. But just like the regular soccer, it has some dos and don’ts that players should follow to ensure everyone’s safety and excitement.
NOTE: Each player will be required to use the provided battle or bubble suit.
Players are advised to use long sleeved shirts.
Players should wear reliable shoes.
As this is an extremely exhausting but totally fun-filled game, it is a must to bring extra shirts or towels and drinking water.
1. Opposing teams line up against each other to commence and right after scoring a goal.
2. Bumping is allowed. In case a bump tips over a player, rolling over is the best strategy to stand up again. If this does not work, ask for help.
3. General football rules are followed in bubble soccer, including corner and free kicks. Throw-ins and off-side rules are not applicable though, except side kick-ins. A goalkeeper is also not designated for any of the opposing team.
4. Overly aggressive players from an opposing team are penalised by allowing a free kick to the other team.
5. Spare players are necessary due to the intensity of the game, and players may be traded anytime, in and out as the need arise.
6. The referee is the ultimate decision maker of the game. A blow of the whistle can abruptly stop the game.
7. Each player is required to use the bubble suit and anyone who is not wearing it will be called out of the game. Ripped or flat suits are replaced.
Don’ts
1. Kicking another player intentionally or the bubble suit is prohibited. Organisers can throw out the erring player of the game with no refund.
2. Players are advised not to bump people, spectators or the referee, because they do not wear protective gear or the bubble suit.
3. When indoors, players are prohibited from pushing one another against corner walls.
4. Players are also prohibited from pushing or kicking another player who is down or does not have the ball.
5. It is advised to go at a player who is clearly seen another player’s intention to prevent any type of injuries during the game.
Have a bubblefun day!
