#bubble theory

i'm rewatching through and in ep5 for the intermission, one of the first bits we see after the cast intro is BUBBLE BEING EATEN BY THE CAINE TEETH. AND THEN CAINE CHOMPS OVER AND OVER

am i reading into this too much? maybe, possibly, but among the various other things for how Bubble progressed as episodes passed as well as the red and blue ai segment in ep 8,,,, brain poke, so i throw my hat in the ring

So there's this concept when you reality shift of going to your “true home” your “chosen reality” and honestly it’s something I really want to speak against with the small platform that I have on here. Theirs a lot of dangers that can come with reality shifting. For example if you actively choose to shift to a dangerous reality like five nights at Freddie's or creepypasta land or something of the sort. Reality shifting should never and i repeat never be used as a way to escape. And why is that? Magick exists to help us better our lives after all. Magick can help us be free. Why is it so dangerous and wrong to use reality shifting to escape in that way?

Well I’m not sure if you’re already on that train of thought that I can persuade you out of it but here goes. It’s important to be able to tell reality from fiction yeah? It’s important to be able to look at a thing and go. This is real and this is fake. Using reality shifting to escape into another world or to just meet up with your favorite fictional characters heavily heavily blurs these lines. When you need an escape from the real world, daydreaming already exists and even if it didn’t using a concrete form of magick...a concrete form of bending and quantum mechanisms of literally teleporting yourself across dimensions isn’t the best idea. There’s also this idea that your “dream reality” is your “home” and I hate to be that guy though I am being him in the process of saying this, but that’s not home to you. This reality is home to you. It may not be fantastical. It may even suck ass. But this is where you were born. This reality is where you were raised and where you lived your life. And hey! That may even be apart of the problem for you but if you need to escape that bad I highly suggest getting mental help or seeking professional services, not bending reality to your will through magick and scripting. Reality shifting just in my opinion isn’t really made for that. It’s made to explore the mutliverse and explore it you can but...

You have a home. Here is your home. I don’t trust people who say it’s not. It’s a dangerous mindset to say it’s not. I don’t care if they’re teens sprouting this or god forbid actual adults but it’s harmful rhetoric never the less. I’ve been let down by a lot of people I look up to regarding this latley and I just want to say it’s like the respawning thing. You don’t need to go anywhere. Here is where you belong.

So what’s the point of realty shifting at all then? Similar to astral travel. To go on adventures. Have you ever seen that television show sliders? It’s like that. You can visit and dabble in as many realities as you want! You can be the queen, you can be a vampire, you can be a god even or an angel or a mermaid. I’ve been all those things and I didn’t even script it! But to say that any of those places were my home when I was here, born and raised here as an abuse survivor mind you just doesn’t fair right with me and it shouldn’t with you either.

In conclusion. Reality shifting is wonderful. It’s a brand new pop culturish form of magick that has its seeds planted in the chaotic. It’s bold and it’s blistering. It’s wide and it’s notable. It’s fantastic. But don’t get carried away. Don’t let the adventure or the taste of freedom become so enticing you do something dangerous like respawning or something iditoic like claiming that somewhere else is you home.
