almost two weeks after the events of the 4th of july carnival, a town hall meeting is held to discuss what happened: the explosion, the losses and the bomb fiasco. the tension can be cut with a knife and the mayor, spencer st. james, doesnβt seem to acknowledge the danger that hawkins might be in... is it our heroesβ turn to take matters into their own hands and try to solve things?
our next event will take place on wednesday (9/14) beginning at 6:00pm est! during this time, all non-event related threads on the dash may continue for the duration of this event, but players are also welcome to get creative and do threads of their own pertaining to the event. the event will take place on discord. the event will run for a week, ending on sunday (9/17) at 6:00pm est. please read below the cut for further information!

this event will take place in two parts. the first part will be held at the town hall meeting, where characters will have the opportunity to share their thoughts about the state of hawkins. the second part will be held at the wheelerβs basement for a debrief after the meeting.

our heroes learned that, shockingly, something weird is going on with the previously undead! up until this point, there was blissful ignorance that maybe that had truly returned, but vomitting acidic goo and being instrumental in a plot to blow up the carnival has simply washed any of those hopes away.
the doppelganger now has a name! thanks to dustin henderson, lucas sinclair, mike wheeler, and will byers doing some extra credit work, the name is being tossed around the right circles. feel free to use itβs name in your threads.Β
skeletons who were under the doppelgangerβs influence the night of the carnival received a memory in thanks for helping the doppelganger with itβs plan. while they each have these memories now, the connection between the skeletons and the doppelganger are not explicitly clear, nor are the doppelgangerβs origins.
hawkins is currently on fire. beyond the actual explosion, paranoia and division are at an all time high after the deaths and explosion at the carnival are being pinned on eddie munson and billy hargrove. if you thought salem was bad, hawkins is heading down a steeper slope!Β
at the sight of the bomb, an indiana department of homeland security van could be seen speeding away from the big top tent after a fence was set up! what could this mean?Β
there are more questions than there are answers right now, but it is a great time of grief for the heroes of hawkins. we wish them the best in discovering more.

on friday night bennyβs burgerβs tragically burned down. although itβs doors had been closed due to an active crime scene, the hometown stapleβs demise has rattled the citizens of hawkins once again. hawkins p.d has yet to give a statement about the ongoing investigation into this crime of arson, but we can only advise citizens to remain vigilant, remain safe.Β
a community car wash will be held on tuesday outside of city hall to help raise funds to rebuild bennyβs! come bring by your car, or strip down and pick up a sponge!
additionally, the post has received words about a sort of forest colony that was discovered late last night. while we are under contract to protect the identities of those in this colony, it is believed that several missing persons were discovered living together, many of them living independently within the colony for years. they will be working closely with government officials and mental health specialists to assimilate them back into society, so please folks, give them a warm hawkins welcome back as they rejoin our ranks!
say congrats to the hawkins high class of 1988! while theyβve long passed their exams and have been enjoying the summer, the commencement ceremony wiill be held on thursday, june 23rd at 1:00pm for all those wishing to attend.Β
itβs a bird! itβs a plane! itβs a meteor! hawkins residents are invited to join in on the town viewing of a meteor shower on friday evening on the field behind the nelson farm. the shower will be visible from nine pm all the way until three in the morning. astronomers say this phenomenon is only visible from hawkins once every fifty years, so be sure not to miss out!Β
