A word from PassionFroot: 《Guys. The last year has been the hardest I’ve ever seen as I enter a new chapter in my life. New relationship, quickly developing band, financial and governmental instability, my people being under attack, not to mention my physical and mental health. I’m not one to compromise easily on things I’m passionate about, which means everything else had to take a hit. I’ve said no to a lot of hangouts, I’ve acted out on people who didn’t necessarily deserve it, I’ve lived on Dollarama and stale Starbucks provided by my barista bandmate, done enough damage to my body to kick my metabolic age up to 60, worked many 40-hour weeks back to back to have the time to record this new EP, coordinate like 8 people, and make sure this event goes of without a hitch. Every mental breakdown I had between February and now is nothing compared to a stranger walking up to you at a Black community gathering to tell you her 2 kids are big fans of the Froots and love what we do. “They might still shoot but we still stand.” ‪#‎BTFFT‬ comes out at midnight. Launch event is tomorrow night. Let’s celebrate encouraging the future, but let us also celebrate surviving the now.》
