Happy Christmas to everybody!  

I did this artwork for the Bittersamgirlclub Secret Santa 2016 ( @bittersamgirlclub). 

I am @snowfallamellecki (formely @adorablejared) secret santa/ fellow Bitter Sam Girl. One of her prompts was Sam with puppies. I can’t draw a dog not even for save my life, but looks like I actually can draw the back of the dog’s head!

I used lots of references to compose the final image reference. The sketch was made using a Bamboo tablet and Medibang software.

         He’d really hoped that it would go better, of course that hope didn’t go well with his brother walking on him and Castiel basically cuddling while watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Cas was talking Dean out of whatever thoughts he had, that yes, they cuddled, touch starvation is in fact a thing that exists and sex isn’t the only possible form of intimacy. Sam had gone for a walk to clear his head and it really was a nice day.

           Then he collided with someone, a someone quite a bit shorter than him who definitely hadn’t been there a few minutes ago. Looking down, he saw a teenage boy who he was sure he’d met before.

           “Jesse- Jesse Turner?” He asked.

           The boy jumped to his feet, nodding, “I found a dog and I needed to give her to someone I don’t have anywhere to keep her, and here felt right, so I came here.”

           “Are you alright?”

           “I’m okay, and so’s she, she’s in the bushes.” The boy indicated a puppy in the bushes, she was big and light brown with floppy ears and an erect tail.

           “You need someone to take care of her?” Sam ran his hand though his hair, “How’d you find her?”

           “She called. I’m not as powerful as I was during the apocalypse, but I do know when I need to be somewhere, and she needed someone. I’ve been calling her Hermione, and she seems to like it.” Jesse was matter of fact, “I think you’d be good for each other.”

           Sam wasn’t entirely sure what to say to that, so he invited the teenage antichrist to lunch.

           Dean surprisingly took this development in stride, and Castiel even apologized for trying to smite Jesse. Hermione was a sweet puppy who listened well, but also liked running everywhere. Lunch (Dean had found a homemade mac and cheese recipe, and it was actually really good) went well. Dean didn’t act any differently than he normally would, Jesse and the puppy seemed happy, and Castiel had decided that since Dean knew that they were, there wasn’t really a good word for it, curing each other’s touch starvation? Platonically together? Anyway, Cas had decided that since he could, he was going to just hold Sam’s hand all through lunch.

           Afterwards, Castiel asked if Sam wanted to continue watching Buffy, they’d been in the middle of a sung episode, and Anya was singing about bunny-phobia when Dean had interrupted. They invited both Jesse and Dean, but Dean made some excuse and fled.

           Jesse said, “I need to leave, really. I’m taking the SAT tomorrow, and I need to make sure I have my ID foolproof.”

           On his way out of the bunker, Jesse turned, “You’ll keep Hermione, right, Sam?”

           “I don’t think she’d leave.”

Top 5 Prompt #5: Top 5 Moments of Sam Snark 

In answer to the latest bittersamgirlclub prompt (x)

Clearly I am in love with S1 Sam snark, what a precious bab!

"Low sodium freaks!" — honestly, this may well be one of my favourite Sam lines ever, it makes me giggle every damn time, its such a dorky thing to say and is exactly my kind of snark, kind of  clever and stupid all at once

"The man can barely work a toaster, Dean!" — I'm fairly certain a good proportion of my love for this is due to the fact that Sam is snarking about how useless John is and I'm always down for that...

"Or what? You’ll eat us?" — I love this line some damn much because its so inappropriate to the situation. Sam, honey, they literally have you both tied to chairs now is not the time to be snarking! But that’s why its so glorious that Sam does it anyway and the fact that he accompanies it with, what in my opinion, is the best, most A++ bitch face he’s ever given, just adds up to make this a perfect specimen of ‘Sam snark’

"An old person huh? In a hospital. Whew, better call the coast guard!" — its like he got as far as 'in a hospital' and thought, 'you know this still isn't shit taking little brother levels of sarcasm yet, better just add this line about the coast gurard, ah there it is...'

"Or are you strictly into Dick now?" — the line itself is mediocre and really that's what makes this perfect because this precious angel is so much better at clever sass than this but he still manages to look infinately proud of himself for making a slightly dirty joke like the absolute dork that he his.
