The soldier feels sweat dripping down his spine, the leather of his uniform sticking uncomfortably to his body. If the uniform that was layered upon skin wasnât black then it would be drenched in the blood from the previous mission, in fact maybe some of the stickiness on his skin was coming from that. Either way that is the least of his worries, his left arm was short circuiting causing electrical shocks to make his body feel like a live wire. It takes a lot to hurt the soldier but this is something different. He used it despite that pain during the mission and now thatâs become a serious problem. He went from being able to use the arm to its full capacity with extreme pain to it being completely immobile. Surprisingly that isnât his worry right now, while it is a major issue it isnât his priority. No, his priority is to find the Captain. They had gotten split up during the course of the mission, and while the soldier knows that the captain is very capable of defending himself something feels wrong when heâs away from the other man. Something unknown lingers heavy in his chest, and the only way that unknown heaviness dissipates is to get his sight back on the captain.Â
It doesnât take too much longer for the soldier to find his captain. Much like the soldierâs own scene, itâs bloody. But that doesnât bother him, not when itâs a mirror of his own actions. Instead he approaches the captain slowly, metal arm hanging uselessly at his side. The soldier doesnât understand what happens next, but it always does. Theyâve got agents to do this for them, agents that do in fact to it for him but the soldier wants first glance over. A flesh hand reaches up to grab the captainâs face, pulling it down to eye level as he examines him. Thereâs blood on the otherâs face and the soldier doesnât know if it belongs to the captain or not. He doesnât care, he lets his thumb swipe away the blood and despite himself he smears that blood onto his own lips and cleans the digit off with his mouth. The soldier knows what Hydraâs first question would be to them âdid you complete the missionâ but that is not the soldierâs first question. âAre you hurt?â He doesnât know why he needs to know but he does. It helps alleviate the strange ache in his chest.
