GN Through the Blackfeet Nation

After visiting the Marias Pass area, I headed eastward and then south. Along the way I spotted this westbound stack train moving through the Blackfeet Indian Reservation at Browning. In the third shot one can see the peaks of Glacier National Park in the distance.

Shit in Browning, MT is getting intense, current tribal chair Willie Sharp almost had Earl Old Person’s cabin teargassed yesterday. Made Blackfoot tribal police search his cabin illegally, shooing off people who showed up to support our chief. If I had the money I’d be in Browning right now, and I’m pissed that I’m not. They came back today, broke in, and took all the checks for payroll from the legitimate council. I’ll be praying tonight that everything works itself out peacefully and that our ancestors and the creator look out for the tribe in this time of turmoil.
